TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DAILY COOKING CLASSES
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS POLICY
Cooking lesson is non-refundable anytime two calendar months before registered class begins. However, after this, a one-time change of dates is possible (when available), and free of charge. There are no refunds should students miss classes or meals, either by electing to do so, or by late arrival or early departure.
If The Salento Cooking Adventures must cancel a program for any reason, all fees and deposits will be refunded in full. Any related travel costs will not be reimbursed. This to date has never happened before.
We recommend travel insurance for everything that could potentially happen in the 60 days before your class begins, such as natural disasters, political unrest, airport closures, etc.
LEGAL LIABILITY (STANDARD TO THE INDUSTRY)
Participants must sign a legal waiver freeing the Salento Cooking Adventures and its staff from any legal liability. This form must be signed upon arrival. This is an industry standard.
We assume no liability for injury, delay, inconvenience, irregularity, loss or damage to person or property or additional cost resulting directly or indirectly from the following causes: fire, acts of government, terrorism, thefts, delays, cancellations or for any other events over which we have no control.
No refunds will be given for any sightseeing, accommodations, meals, or excursions that the participant misses or decides not to take.

HOW TO PAY
Our preferred method of payment is through the online service, PayPal, a safe, modern service that allows you to make payments in your local currency. After confirmation you will be asked to pay 50% of deposit. The remaining 50% will be payed on the day.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We recommend that you purchase separate insurance in case you have to cancel your trip, as well as accident, health and baggage and personal effects loss or damage.

Registration & Order Confirmation for Salento Cooking Adventures
All registration requests to attend any of our scheduled courses and tailored tour can be made via our website form or by contacting us. In submitting our online registration form, attendees are agreeing to accept all of the terms & conditions.
A confirmation email will be sent with payment details once a booking has been made via the booking form.
Minimum participants
We do have a minimum number of 2 participantsfor daily cookingclasses(or any daily tours) and 4 participantsfor weekly cooking classes and tours. For private tours and classes, please contact us at info@salentocookingadventures.com .
Salento Cooking Adventures reserves the right to cancel or reschedule its classes or tours in accordance with its operating requirements or for circumstances beyond its control, such as insufficient participation or any other unforeseen incident (such as safety reasons, illness, ect.). All prepaid participants will receive 100% refund unless an alternative date can be agreed upon.
Discount
· Children under the age of (and including) 10 get a 50% discount
· Students (with a valid student I.D. and under the age of 18) will receive a 20% discount.
· Group bookings of 6 or more people will receive a 10% discount.
PAYMENT POLICY FOR SALENTO COOKING ADVENTURES
Daily Cooking Classor Daily Tailored Events:
A deposit of 50%is required when booking, full payment at destination. Full payment of all tailored events is due no later than 3 weeks prior to the event, unless otherwise stipulated in writing by Salento Cooking Adventures.
WeeklyCooking Courses/Private Classes/Group Events/TeamEvents /Specials: a deposit of 50%is required when booking, full payment 3 weeks prior to departure.
Full paymentto attend a scheduled Salento Cooking Adventures or Cooking Classes or private event is required prior to the date of the course. Payment for a Cooking Class must be made 3 weeks prior to scheduled class.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Booking Form is a legal and binding contract; once submitted and confirmed, all provisions in the Terms and Conditions apply.

Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of € 50% per person is required to secure a booking of a cooking class. Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of a signed booking form and deposit. If you make the initial reservations less than 60 days before the date of travel, full payment is due.
Special week:a non-refundable deposit of full payment per person is required to secure a booking of “The Harvest” and “Olive picking week”. Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of a signed booking form and deposit. If you make the initial reservations less than 60 days before the date of travel, full payment is due.
One-day classes: a non-refundable 50% payment is required to secure a booking of a one-day cooking class. The Salento Cooking Adventures always advises by e-mail if your class is confirmed, along with the necessary information. If you do not receive the e-mail, please check your Spam folder. It is the sole responsibility of the traveller to contact us at least 72 hours in advance if you do not have your class instructions. Once we confirm the class, there is no refund.
Salento Cooking Adventures guarantees programs and classes of very high quality for small numbers of participants. The only way to ensure this and to have a continuum of quality, is to guarantee payment to all of the varied people involved in the running of a program ORGANIZED BY AN AUTHORIZED TOUR OPERATOR: i.e., chefs, drivers, guides, translators, inn keepers, etc., etc. Therefore, it is not possible to refund, or even reapply a payment, as we still must run the program for those booked, and honour our payments to our suppliers. We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance.
Final Payment
Final payment for cooking vacations is due by cash at the Salento Cooking Adventures on the day. Should you not show up on the day of the class, you will be charged the amount of the deposit.
By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, international clients are authorizing this charge. If a client wishes to make alternative arrangements for final payment or to provide an alternative credit card, the client must contact Salento Cooking Adventures at least two weeks before final payment is due.
Travel Insurance
WE STRONGLY URGE YOU TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCEto protect your trip investment and yourself while traveling. We are unable to order travel insurance for international travelers. Travelers from outside Italy are strongly encouraged to order travel insurance from a local company. We are happy to assist with any necessary documentation to make your claim. In waiving the purchase of travel insurance you indicate that you understand that all payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be re-applied, even in the event of an emergency, catastrophe, or unexpected illness, accident, or death.
Cancellations
Deposit and final payment are non refundable and cannot be applied to another departure. The purchase of travel insurance, which covers cancellation due to medical reasons, default and/or airline strike, weather, etc. (please see policy for details), is strongly advised. Full refunds will be made if Salento Cooking Adventures cancels a tour. Salento Cooking Adventures may cancel any program at any time before departure for any reason, including insufficient participants to operate the program. Salento Cooking Adventures will make every effort to follow any published itinerary, but variances may occur due to availability and factors beyond the control of said operator. Salento Cooking Adventures may in its sole discretion substitute a service or good of similar quality for any stated in any itinerary. If a tour is cancelled, Salento Cooking Adventures will make every effort to find a suitable replacement, but its liability is limited to a full refund of payment rendered.
Certification of Health
By making payment, traveller certifies that he or she does not have any condition or disability that would create a hazard or hardship for other travellers participating in the program and the traveller understands that health care standards, facilities and services in Italy may be different or inadequate for treatment of certain health conditions. Salento Cooking Adventures makes no representations or warranties and disclaims any made regarding special accommodations or handicap accessibility on any program. Salento Cooking Adventures reserves the right to decline accepting or retaining any traveller whose health or actions in Salento Cooking Adventures’s sole judgment impede the operation of a trip or the welfare or enjoyment of fellow travelers.
Salento Cooking Adventures cannot accommodate any allergies, dietary needs or restrictions. It is the sole responsibility of the traveller to take care of their own dietary needs.
Meals
Meals included in the program are not “a la carte” and will be a carefully selected fixed menu reflecting the food of the region. If you have a food allergy, please advise, although we cannot make any guarantees for changes or modifications to meals to accommodate allergies or dislikes. There is always an abundance of food, so it is generally never a problem to avoid the foods that may cause an allergic reaction or that you do not like.
Start time
Classes run by Salento Cooking Adventures will start on time. We advise participants to arrive 10 minutes early to minimise the chance of missing any of their scheduled lesson time.
Damage / Loss of Personal Property
Salento Cooking Adventures will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for the damage to or loss of merchandise left in the venue prior to, during or after a class/event/function. Salento Cooking Adventures is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items in any form.
Damage / Loss of Salento Cooking Adventures Property
The student or function organiser may be held financially responsible for any damage to or loss of Salento Cooking Adventures property during the class/event/function. The cost of repairing any damage to walls, doors or other parts of the property as a result of inappropriate conduct will be charged to the person or hiring company involved.
Refunds and Adjustments
There will be no refunds for any unused portion of the tour.
We hope that your program will be perfect! However, should there be any problems that are not satisfactorily resolved with your local contact, you must notify Salento Cooking Adventures, while you are at the program. If you do not, there will be no possibility of any adjustment, should that be deemed appropriate.
Transfers (to book with some official NCC cars we can suggest)
Where transfers are included, there is one scheduled group transfer for arrival and departure at a designated time and place. It is the responsibility of the tour participant to be at the transfer point at the designated time. Private transfers can be arranged for an additional fee, contacting an NCC official car. Please be advised that if you are arriving and/or departing on the dates of the program, a late arrival or very early departure may necessitate a special transfer at an additional fee. We would be happy to receive your confirm of transfers before you finalize your travel arrangements. Neither Salento Cooking Adventures nor its providers are responsible for late arrivals due to flight delays or any other reason. If you are delayed, we will do our best to transfer you to the program whenever you arrive, but please be prepared to pay an additional fee in Euros direct to the NCC driver. (You don’t have to pay Salento Cooking Adventures for any transfers, but only the NCC drivers)
Tour Prices (organised by a Tour Operator authorized by the Puglia region)
All prices are per person and based upon double occupancy. If you are a single traveller, confirmation will be based upon and include the posted single supplement for that specific program. (If you wish a roommate, we will try to accommodate your request.) Triple room accommodations may be available upon request. Price is subject to change without notice as a result of adverse economic changes or currency fluctuations that may affect air/land transportation, hotels, or other related service providers.
Travel Documents
It is the responsibility of each tour participant to obtain and carry a valid passport, visa(s), and any other documents required by applicable government regulations. Non EU residents may require special travel documents. Check with your local embassy or consulate.
Responsibility
Salento Cooking Adventures does not own or operate any of the suppliers of services or accommodations for your trip. As a result, it is not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such supplier or of any third party over whom Salento Cooking Adventures has no control. Salento Cooking Adventures and its representatives delegates a Tour Operator authorized by the Puglia regionto all the reservations and transfers organization. This Tour Operator will act only in the capacity of an agent of all air/land transportation, sightseeing, tour operators and hotels which provide services included in the specified tour. The individual tour participant agrees that Salento Cooking Adventures and its representatives shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity, liability or expense to person or property due to any act of default of hotel, air/land transportation carrier, restaurant supplier or other contractor rendering or providing services. Salento Cooking Adventures and its representatives shall not be responsible for any expense or liability resulting from labor disputes, war, acts of terrorism, government restraints, weather conditions, sickness, pilferage or any other cause beyond their control. Salento Cooking Adventures and its representatives reserve the right to accept, or to retain or refuse any person as a participant of any tour or to cancel any program of a tour if circumstances so demand. Salento Cooking Adventures and its representatives reserve the right to cancel any tour prior to departure for any reason (including insufficient number of participants) or to change itineraries and/or substitute services or hotels of equal quality without prior notification.
All tours are carried by authorised NCC cars only.
The organisation of tours is carried out by Serafino Incoming Tour Operator, authorised by the Puglia region.
